Honest fit

We’re not for everyone. Here’s who we’re for.

Most firms will tell you they’re a fit for anyone with a budget. We’d rather be useful than universal. Here’s an honest read on where we do our best work and where you’d be better served by someone else.

We’re a strong fit for

Where judgment plus delivery pays off most

  • Organizations where software is becoming a competitive advantage, not just back-office support.
  • Teams that have outgrown off-the-shelf tools and are holding things together with workarounds.
  • Operationally complex businesses staffing, education, healthcare services, transaction-heavy ops.
  • Leaders who want a straight recommendation, not a yes to every request.
  • Companies modernizing an aging system that the business genuinely depends on.
  • Founders building customer-facing platforms that need to survive real growth.
  • Organizations exploring AI that want real friction removed, not a demo.
  • Teams that value reliability and ownership over the lowest possible bid.
  • Public-serving and veteran-founded organizations that appreciate working with one of their own.

We’re usually not the best choice for

When another partner would serve you better

  • Buyers shopping purely on price who want the cheapest possible development hours.
  • Teams that just need extra hands to execute a spec that’s already finalized.
  • Projects where the decision to build is fixed and a second opinion isn’t welcome.
  • Simple needs that a well-chosen off-the-shelf tool would solve for a fraction of the cost.
  • Organizations looking for the fastest, flashiest demo rather than something that holds up.

Why we’re honest about this

Telling you where we’re not a fit is how you know to trust us where we are.

A firm that’s a fit for everyone is a fit for no one in particular. We’d rather lose the work we’d do badly and earn the work we’d do well. The same honesty that puts “don’t hire us for this” on a page is the honesty you want in the room when six figures are on the line.

Not sure which side you’re on? Book a call anyway.

If we’re not the right firm for your situation, we’ll say so and often point you somewhere better.
